Networking & Collaboration

We provide innovative training, technical assistance, and services to foster strong leadership, increase organizational capacity, and strengthen partnerships within the diabetes prevention and control community.

Common Ground Groups

The Common Ground community is a space for Lifestyle Coaches to learn, connect, and access resources to help successfully deliver the National DPP lifestyle change program in their community. DTTAC can create a private space within the Common Ground online community platform to connect Lifestyle Coaches in your state to discuss state-specific resources, best practices and questions. Someone from your state, such as a State Quality Specialist (SQS), will serve as the group administrator and work alongside DTTAC staff to foster engagement and ongoing learning within the online community.

Case Study Connections

DTTAC will provide National DPP program implementation support to Lifestyle Coaches in your network through monthly/bi-monthly 1-hour sessions. Throughout these 6 sessions, participants will engage with case studies, relevant resources, and discuss common barriers on topics such as retention, habit formation, supporting behavior change, group cohesion and health equity.
*These events are not considered Advanced Coach Training under the 2021 DPRP Standards.

Virtual Community of Practice Sessions

DTTAC can help bring together diabetes partners across the state to share ideas, make connections, and illuminate best practices. These events can include guest speakers, panel discussions, listening sessions, and dynamic learning opportunities. These sessions are an ideal fit for supporting communities of practice and are planned collaboratively with the client to meet the specific needs of the network. Communications Support

Newsletters & Contact Management

DTTAC works with the client to develop and design a quarterly e-newsletter for state diabetes partners. These newsletters provide updates on state and national diabetes happenings and can include resources, trainings and events, partner updates, and more. In addition, DTTAC helps to manage and maintain an updated contact list through an electronic contact management system.

Strategy & Support for State Staff

DTTAC has worked with states for over a decade to help them scale, strengthen, and sustain their National DPP lifestyle change programs. DTTAC’s breadth and depth of partnerships across the country, coupled with a proven ability to leverage expertise on a variety of subjects, has made DTTAC a valuable resource and support system for best and promising practices for the National DPP.

Strategic Planning

Using our Emory Centers Know–Plan–Go™ strategic planning process, DTTAC assists states in creating a customized strategic action plan that engages stakeholders, reflects evidence-based strategies, and aligns with coordinated chronic disease program objectives.

Scaling and Sustaining the National DPP

DTTAC can support state-wide efforts to scale and sustain the National DPP. This work can be done within the framework of the NACDD/CDC National DPP State Engagement Meetings (StEM) that focuses on four pillars of the National DPP: 1) Awareness, 2) Availability, 3) Coverage, and 4) Screening, Testing and Referral.

With years of experience in coalition mobilization, DTTAC can provide advanced technical assistance to states to mobilize partners around strategies for collective impact. DTTAC can provide support at the beginning of the StEM process (forming workgroups at the State Engagement Meeting) or even years after the initial State Engagement Meeting to reinvigorate the work. DTTAC meets states and their partners where they are and provides customized support with measurable outcomes.
